Community Rules
_Last updated: [PUBLISH_DATE]_
We're building this place so creators and community can hang without it turning into another scroll-hole. These rules are how we keep it that way. Break them and you're out — we'd rather have a smaller, better hub than a bigger, noisier one.
1. Don't be a jerk
No harassment, threats, slurs, doxing, or targeted pile-ons. Disagree all you want — keep it about ideas, not people.
2. No bigotry
We don't host racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise hateful content. We don't care how it's framed ("just a joke," "playing devil's advocate," "I'm just asking questions"). This is not the place.
3. Stay legal
No content that violates laws in the United States. That includes (non-exhaustive): no piracy, no doxing, no incitement to violence, no CSAM (which gets reported to authorities, no warning).
4. Keep it real
Don't impersonate other people. Don't run fake accounts. Don't pretend to be a creator you're not.
5. No spam
No copy-paste invites to your Discord. No engagement bait. No coordinated brigade behavior. One genuine contact message is fine; the same message from six accounts is not.
6. Respect the people whose name is on the door
The Magnificent Bastages name belongs to the crew. Don't use it to promote things they haven't approved.
7. Crew rules
If you're a creator on the platform, you also follow these:
- Don't post NSFW content unless your card is explicitly marked as such (Phase 18+)
- Don't link to harmful, illegal, or fraudulent destinations
- Don't sell crew members' likenesses or content without their permission
8. Moderation
Moderators and admins can hide content, warn users, suspend accounts, or ban accounts at their discretion. We try to be fair. If you think a moderation action was wrong, use the contact form with reason "Support" to appeal — but understand that appeal isn't guaranteed to succeed.
9. Privacy and safety
Don't share other users' private information without consent. Don't share private DM content publicly without consent. Don't try to deanonymize someone who's gone to the trouble of staying anonymous.
10. Common sense
These rules don't cover everything. If something is obviously bad, don't do it just because there isn't a specific rule against it. If you're not sure, ask.
What happens when you break a rule
Depending on the severity:
- Verbal warning (in writing, via mod note)
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent ban
- For serious harm (doxing, threats, CSAM): immediate permanent ban + report to authorities
We don't owe you an explanation, but we usually give one anyway.
We made this place because we wanted somewhere good to be. Help us keep it that way.
